1. Who controls your information

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, disclosed and protected when you visit madebypeso.com, contact PESO, create an account, place or discuss an order, or request delivery, cancellation, return, warranty or repair service.

The data controller is Yaniv Peso, trading as PESO, Israeli authorized-dealer (VAT) number 027800770, of 9 HaOman Street, Jerusalem, Israel. Privacy requests may be sent to support@madebypeso.com or made by telephone at +972 52-645-5471.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website and services, we may collect:

identity and contact information, such as name, address, email address, telephone number and account details;
order and transaction information, such as selected products, size, materials, custom specifications, price, payment status, order number, delivery details, cancellations, returns, refunds, warranty requests and repairs;
communications and service information, including inquiries, messages, appointment or custom-design requests, photographs or documents you choose to provide, and our responses;
payment-related information. Full payment-card details are normally collected directly by the payment provider. PESO generally receives payment status, transaction identifiers and limited details needed to administer the order, prevent fraud, issue refunds and keep required records;
device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, interactions, referral information, approximate location derived from technical data, cookies and similar identifiers; and
preferences and consents, such as language, cookie choices, marketing choices and records of withdrawal.

Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information through free-text fields or WhatsApp.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device when you use the website, and from providers involved in the service, such as Shopify, the active payment provider, delivery or fraud-prevention providers, and communications or customer-service tools.

4. Is providing information mandatory?

Providing personal information is generally voluntary and is not required by law. Fields marked as required are needed for the purpose explained beside the form—for example to reply to an inquiry, review and process an order, take payment, manufacture and deliver an item, create an account, or handle a cancellation, return, warranty or repair request. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to complete that activity.

Information not needed for the requested service, including consent to marketing or non-essential analytics and advertising, is optional. Refusing it does not prevent a purchase.

5. How we use information

We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

operate, secure and improve the website and customer accounts;
receive and review an order, verify payment and security, send a written order-acceptance or rejection message, manufacture the selected item, deliver it and provide order updates;
respond to inquiries and provide custom-design, cancellation, return, refund, warranty, resizing and repair service;
process payments, authorizations, cancellations and refunds through the active payment provider;
detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and unlawful activity;
maintain business, tax, accounting, product, warranty and dispute records and comply with legal obligations;
establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
send marketing or use non-essential analytics and advertising technologies only in accordance with the applicable notice, consent and privacy-preference controls.

6. When we disclose information

We disclose only the information reasonably needed for the relevant purpose to:

Shopify, which hosts and operates the storefront, checkout, account and order systems;
the payment and fraud-prevention providers active at checkout;
delivery, production, repair and customer-service providers used for the particular order or request;
email, messaging, hosting, information-security, analytics or advertising providers that are actually enabled for PESO and permitted by the customer’s applicable choices;
accountants, legal advisers, insurers and other professional advisers where needed; and
government, regulatory, law-enforcement or judicial authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law.

We may also disclose information in connection with a lawful sale, reorganization or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate protection and applicable law. PESO does not sell customer contact lists.

7. Shopify and other providers

The store is hosted by Shopify. Information submitted through the store is processed by Shopify and may be combined or used by Shopify as described in its applicable privacy notices and the store’s enabled settings. For more information, see Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy.

If you choose to contact PESO through WhatsApp or follow another third-party link, that provider receives information according to its own terms and privacy notice. The active payment and delivery providers will be identified in the checkout or order communications where appropriate.

8. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Essential cookies and similar technologies are used to operate, secure and remember the basic state of the store and checkout. Preference, analytics and advertising technologies, if enabled, are used only as described in the applicable notice and subject to the choices made available to the visitor.

If Google, Meta or another advertising or analytics provider is enabled, online identifiers and website or transaction activity may be disclosed to that provider for the selected purposes, including measurement, ad personalization or audience creation. PESO will not activate additional non-essential Google or Meta measurement or advertising technologies until the applicable privacy notice and choice mechanism are available. When a website privacy-preferences control is available, non-essential choices can be rejected or changed through that control. Withdrawing a choice does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

9. Marketing communications

Order and service messages are transactional and are not marketing. Marketing by email, SMS or WhatsApp is optional and uses a separate consent for each enabled channel where required. A customer may withdraw consent at any time without charge by using the unsubscribe method in the message, replying “STOP” or „הסרה” where supported and recorded by the channel, or contacting support@madebypeso.com.

10. Processing outside Israel

Shopify and other service providers may process or store information outside Israel, including in countries whose data-protection rules differ from those in Israel. PESO uses providers and contractual or other safeguards as required by applicable law and limits disclosure to the information needed for the service.

11. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate operational, warranty, accounting, tax, security, dispute and legal-record obligations. Retention periods differ by record type. Information is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed, subject to legal and technical requirements.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information and the service. No system or transmission method is completely secure. Do not send full payment-card details, passwords, identity-document images or other unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email, website free text or WhatsApp.

13. Access, correction and other requests

Subject to applicable law, a person may request access to personal information held about them and may request correction or deletion where the information is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or not current, or where another legal right applies. A person may also withdraw marketing consent or change non-essential cookie preferences.

Send a request to support@madebypeso.com. We may request reasonable information to verify identity and locate the record. Some information may need to be retained or a request may be limited where permitted or required by law.

14. Children

The online store is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from a child who cannot lawfully provide it. A parent or guardian may contact us regarding information submitted by a child.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational, legal or provider changes. The effective date above will be updated when a material revision is published. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request a new choice.
