Using a ring that already fits

A jeweler can measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits the intended finger. Confirm that the existing ring has a similar profile and is worn on the same finger and hand.

Measure under normal conditions

• Finger size can change with temperature, time of day, and temporary swelling.
• A wider band can feel tighter than a narrow band in the same nominal size.
